In approaching the world cup many question the safety of going to Brazil. Scientist at Harvard conducted a study that found 3 big clusters of disease that emerge in people who visit Brazil. The 3rd most common disease was feverish blights such as malaria. The second was traveler’s diarya. And the unexpected most common illness was skin worms. This makes sense when you consider many tourists who visit Brazil go to the coast, and the leading skin worm was cutaneous larva margins, hookworms that live on the beaches and can penetrate a bare skin. However for the world cup the biggest fear is yellow fever or malaria as 4 of the 12 stadiums are located in places where these diseases are frequently found.
